All Brits out of Australian Open as Dan Evans suffers heavy loss to Felix Auger-Aliassime

FAA took his second break point in the third game of the third set when Evans slapped a forehand into the net and the end was nigh.

The British No.2 returned to his chair and smashed his racquet in frustration.

And the Canadian broke Evans for a fifth time when he chased down an Evans forehand drop shot to go 4-1 up. And the match was all over after one hour and 53 minutes when the British No.2 was broken for a sixth time when he sent a forehand wildly long.

FAA said: “It is tough to feel better. Definitely one of the best Grand Slam performances. It was a tight first set. I was fortunate to get a break point and close out the first set. Fortunately today everything was working for me. I am happy to get through in straight sets. It is the best feeling.”
