Amazon is offering 25 percent off the Philips Air Fryer and it 'uses much less energy'

With energy bills rising, many are considering ways to lower costs, and switching appliances to use alternative cooking methods is an effective way to cut down on usage.

Air fryers have been growing in popularity over the last few years, with many finding them an easier and quicker way to cook.

Recently, with energy costs rising, research by Utilita and Iceland found that an average electric cooker can cost around 87p to run per day, whereas an air fryer is up to six times cheaper at around just 14p per day.

For those looking for an easy way to save money on bills, an air fryer is an appliance that could make a considerable difference in reducing household bills, without having to compromise on cooking delicious meals.

Amazon has slashed the price of the Philips air fryer by 25 percent, so shoppers can now buy the appliance for £149.99.

The device allows healthy frying with Rapid Air technology using ‘up to 90 percent less fat’ with little to no oil required.

The touch screen features seven presets including fish, chicken, vegetables, defrost setting and more, for easy cooking with minimal time or attention needed.

A key feature of the air fryer is the NutriU App, which can be downloaded so users can easily adjust the time, temperature and monitor cooking from a phone or tablet, plus it offers a huge range of recipes that can be cooked using the air fryer.

Shoppers are loving the air fryer, with high ratings for being easy to use, easy to clean, value for money and flavour.

mrsh said: ”Should of purchased one ages ago. Saves money on the electricity, do not need to pre heat. Cooks quicker than an electric oven. So pleased with it. Croissants take 2 minutes.”

Country Girl commented: ”Best thing I’ve ever bought for my kitchen. Perfectly cooked steaks, chops, salmon, bacon, sausages, mushrooms, sweet potato wedges, reheated pastry…all ready in 5 to 10 min max. Delicious, non-greasy food. The fryer is easy to clean and, used when it’s clean, there are no cooking smells. No heating up time and cooks quickly, so it’s less expensive to run than my half-oven.”

Maureen Nutt also added: ”Brilliant!! Our  food is cooked to’s speedy and does exactly what it says..I’m truly impressed with the crispy finish on battered gougons, Halloumi fries etc..I have worked out my own timings but the preset timings were pretty accurate.”
