Boris Johnson LIVE: 'Final nail in the coffin' Cummings to give 'partygate' evidence TODAY

The Prime Minister is under mounting pressure to resign following allegations of lockdown breaching parties held at Downing Street and Ms Gray, a senior civil servant, has been tasked with leading an inquiry into the allegations. Mr Johnson has admitted that he attended an event in the Downing Street garden on May 20, 2020, however, he has said that he “implicitly” believed that it was a “work event” and that nobody told him that any rules were going to be broken. Mr Cummings, the Prime Minister’s former aide, last week said he would swear under oath that Mr Johnson knew about the party and that he himself said to the Prime Minister: “You’ve got to get a grip of this madhouse,” before the event. Ms Gray’s report is due to be published later this week.
