Conor McGregor took a playful dig at Paddy Pimblett’s ‘weight gain’ since his last fight as the pair FaceTimed each other on Tuesday. Pimblett was visiting McGregor’s Black Forge Inn, located in Dublin along with training partner and fellow UFC star Molly McCann.
The Liverpudlian began to chow down on a steak and burger before he received a video call from McGregor.
“You’re already putting all that weight on again, lad! It’s crazy because your face is way different straight away,” said McGregor.
“Yeah lad, I’m back up to 91kg,” replied Pimblett.
Pimblett is well known for blowing up in weight between fights. Paddy The Baddy documents his fast-food binges on his popular YouTube channel which has garnered over 600,000 subscribers. But the self-confessed ‘food addict’ has admitted that his habits have got out of control and believes he may have an eating disorder.
Pimblett’s sensational rise to superstardom has often been compared to that of McGregor’s. The scouser has won all three of his UFC fights via stoppage and has received a performance of the night bonus in each.
His money-making potential is so undeniable that popular sports site Barstool Sports offered him a “seven-figure deal” last year to become their brand ambassador and content creator in one of the biggest sponsorship deals of any UFC fighter.
Pimblett sent the O2 Arena into an absolute frenzy when he submitted Jordan Leavitt in July but has since declared that he will not fight in the UK again until UFC president Dana White grants him his wish of headlining at Anfield – the home of his beloved Liverpool FC.
There are currently no disclosed plans in place for Pimblett’s next fight.
