Four signings Tottenham could make after Adama Traore as £20m Wolves transfer close

Jesse Lingard

In Conte’s three-at-the-back system, Jesse Lingard wouldn’t be a centre-back or central midfielder, but he’d add quality in attack.

However, he has entered the final six months of his Manchester United contract and doesn’t intend to extend terms.

So despite Tottenham’s status as a top-four rival, United could be tempted to sell Lingard if their asking price is met.

Newcastle United are also interested in the 29-year-old and have already and are willing to pay £6m to loan him until the end of the season.

But Spurs could swoop in and win the race by offering a higher fee, and Lingard would likely be interested in a return to London.
