The GB News host said she was “glad” to see Djokovic out of the tournament as she discussed Rafael Nadal’s chances of securing a win at the Australian Open. Djokovic engaged in a bitter legal battle with the Australian Government earlier this month to secure access to the competition but was ultimately forced to leave the country. Isabel Webster said she was “all for” Rafa Nadal winning the tournament as she “trash-talked” Djokovic.
Mr Coyte said: “It is good news for Nadal.
“Alexander Zverev, who is one of the favourites, beat Denis Shapovalov which basically means it’s good news for Nadal because then Nadal stands a better chance of going through.
“Nadal is going for his 21st title, which of course, Djokovic is on 20. That is what Djokovic wanted to go for.
“So I think most of Australia, maybe most of the world, will be looking at that.”
