London stabbing: Brent Cross Shopping Centre evacuated as police rush to scene

Footage shared on social media of police escorting shoppers out of the Hendon shopping centre following reports of a stabbing near the Apple store in Brent Cross. Multiple police vehicles have been spotted outside the shopping centre.

One person tweeted: “There’s been a stabbing at Brent Cross Shopping Centre.”

Someone else said: “A person got stabbed at @brentcross_sc on around the @riverisland store at the 2nd floor.

“Police have closed all stores and evacuated the floor.

“Apparently the incident happened in the @Apple store @brentcross_sc.”

This latest attack comes following a string of stabbing across the capital.

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has been attacked for letting crime get out of control across the capital over recent weeks,

Last month, Shaun Bailey, the Tory candidate for London Mayor, launched a scathing attack on Mr Khan claiming “crime is out of control” across the capital.

He tweeted: “Crime is out of control in London.

“I’ve been a youth worker for 20 years.

“I know how to address the causes of crime.”

He went on to say how the capital needs “8,000 new police, 4,000 new youth workers” and said he would “reopen 38 police stations”.

Mr Bailey continued: “We can make London safe – but we need a fresh start.”
