TikToker is slammed as 'ungrateful' for gleefully destroying his girlfriend's old car

A TikTok star with 14 million followers is being slammed for destroying his girlfriend’s car while gifting her a $130,000 upgrade — all for a ‘funny’ video.

Earlier this week, 20-year-old Alex Warren from Carlsbad, California uploaded a video of himself running over an old Toyota Camry with a Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV — then telling his girlfriend, Kouvr Annon, that the pricey G-Wagon was hers to keep.

The video has already been viewed 8.3 million times and earned 2.7 million likes, but some critics are calling out Alex for being wasteful when there are so many people in need.

The ‘prank’ video shows Alex and a male friend destroying 20-year-old Kouvr’s old car and then surprising her with the wreckage.

When the clip begins, Alex is elevated in the Mercedes SUV, facing Kouvr’s Camry head-on. He then accelerates and drives over the hood of her car, all the while laughing at the damage he is doing.

He then brings Kouvr out blindfolded to show her what he’s done.

‘You know how you have that Camry that you never drive?’ he asks her.

He then reveals the ruined car in front of her, cracking up and leaving Kouvr with a shocked expression and a wrinkled forehead.

As she looks on, upset, Alex’s friend screams and throws a rock into the back window, shattering it.

Kouvr looks even more upset and confused — but then Alex shares the second surprise.

‘The reason I did this is because the G-Wagon is now in your name, and that is now your car,’ he tells her.

‘Why would you do that?’ Kouvr asks him.

‘Cause it’s your dream car!’ he replies, as his friend throws bricks at the car to destroy it futher.

Alex seemed to think that viewers would find it as hilarious as he did — and millions clearly did. But many commenters have also slammed him for being selfish and childish.

‘You could just sell the car instead of destroying it,’ wrote one.

‘Y’all rich as hell. If you guys don’t want it maybe fix it and donate it?’ suggested another.

‘I’m in such disbelief… you could have fixed the car and then sold it to someone who needs it…’ said another.

Several others made similar suggestions, calling him ‘ungrateful’ and complaining, ‘Okay we all know u guys are rich but that was definitely not necessary.

‘I wish I had the money to destroy perfectly good cars. Just think of some of the people that actually need them,’ one more chimed in.

One said that even if the car didn’t work, it wasn’t his place to destroy her property.

‘It’s like destroying someone’s stuffed animal and giving them a new, better one. Great that’s cool, but you don’t know what that meant to someone.’

Alex has since fired back at critics, writing: ‘FOR ANYONE COMMENTING — This is a car she bought and it broke after a year. The cost in repair was more than it was worth.’
