Tottenham have been told that they have a right to be worried over reports linking their boss Antonio Conte with a move back to Italy with Juventus. The Old Lady head coach Massimiliano Allegri has been under pressure after a disappointing side has seen his side sit in eighth place in Serie A, and Conte could replace him.
However, Italian journalist Paolo Bargiggia has claimed that Conte won’t renew his contract in north London, and may seal a shock return to Juventus if they end up axing Allegri. “If the management @juventusfc manages to resist the temptation to kick Allegri out by keeping him until the end of the season, then he can go straight to Conte who can’t wait to return and for this reason he is not renewing with the British,” Bargiggia tweeted.
Former Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson believes that until Conte wins a trophy he will continue to be linked with a move away from Tottenham. “It is always a worry with Conte because he is a world-class manager,” Robinson told Football Insider.
“So long as Spurs are without a trophy or a serious challenge in the Premier League or Champions League he will be linked with other jobs. He is a top-class manager and other teams are going to want him.
