UK weather: 65mph gusts set to bash Brits as Met Office issues yellow weather warning


Central Tayside and Fife, Grampian, Highlands and Eileen Star and Orkney and Shetland are the regions that will be affected.

It will be in place from 6am until 6pm.

According to the Met Office it is likely there will be some short-term loss of power.

Some bus and train services are also likely to affected.

As a result, some services will take longer.

It is possible that in some coastal communities, sea fronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray or large waves.

Strong winds will arrive early on Tuesday morning blowing in a north-westerly direction and they are expected to persist throughout the day.

Gusts of up to 50mph are expected.
