Vile messages were sprayed across headstones in Dunfermline Cemetery, Fife, on Saturday. A message saying ‘One less rat’ was written on a tribute at the Snowdrop Memorial Garden for stillborn and neonatal deaths, which read ‘For All Our Babies Briefly Known Forever Loved’.
Below that a vandal wrote ‘Covid Hoax’ and ‘f*** you’s’ on another memorial.
Another gravestone, beside which flowers had been placed, was spray painted with ‘Scum’.
Pictures of the disgusting vandalism were shared on social media sparking a slew of outrage.
One grieving parent said: “I have been sat all day in bits trying to process this and I just can’t understand why. This is my baby boy’s memorial and it was vandalised last night. I am never short of words but really struggling to understand this.”
